Acupuncture: A quiet space to feel better.
Imagine waking with a clear mind.
Moving through your day without bracing.
Feeling like your energy belongs to you again.
Your body feels capable. Your mind feels steady. You trust yourself as you move through your life. There is calm where there used to be tension. Clarity where there used to be fog.
This is the quiet strength of acupuncture.
The work is not just what happens on the table. It is how your life feels after you leave. Acupuncture helps regulate your internal rhythms, settle an overworked nervous system, reduce pain, and clear the mental weight you have been carrying.
When your system is organized, everything becomes more efficient. Sleep deepens. Digestion steadies. Moods even out. Energy becomes available for what actually matters.
Acupuncture meets you exactly where you are. It helps you reclaim your days so that wellness is not a brief high point, but a sustainable way of living.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a precise and time tested medical system that restores flow and reorganizes patterns within the body.
Rooted in Chinese Medicine, it understands symptoms as communication, whether that be pain, fatigue, hormonal shifts, or emotional reactivity. These are not random problems. They are signals that something in the system is out of rhythm.
In session, we work collaboratively. I listen to what is happening in your life as carefully as I assess your pulse and tongue. Treatment is shaped by classical diagnostic methods to better understand your present reality, as well as the patterns that brought you to the place you are at today.
Whether you are navigating chronic pain, stress, fertility challenges, cycle irregularity, burnout, or emotional overwhelm, acupuncture offers a way to recalibrate. Steadily. Intelligently. Safely. Effectively.
Treatments may include needling, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and guided meditation. Each session is tailored to you, your constitution, and the state of your nervous system that day.
This is spacious medicine. It is not about fixing you. It is about restoring coherence so you feel resourced, capable, and connected to yourself again.

FAQs
What can acupuncture help with?
Acupuncture is commonly used for pain, stress, sleep issues, digestion, hormonal health, fertility, and emotional regulation. It’s also a supportive tool for seasonal transitions, burnout, and preventative care. If you’re unsure whether it’s right for you, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to talk it through.
What does a treatment feel like? Does it hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very thin — most people feel little to no pain. You might experience a dull ache, warmth, or tingling sensation, which is a sign of Qi (energy) moving. Treatments are designed to be relaxing and supportive, not painful.
What happens in a session?
In our first session, we get to know each other. We review your health history to see how you got to where you are today, assess you in the current moment, and listen to your goals for working with me. I will take your pulse, look at your tongue, and develop a treatment plan based on Chinese Medicine theory.
How long is a session?
Initial sessions are 75 minutes to allow time for intake and treatment. Follow-up sessions are usually 60 minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals and where you are at today. Generally, people feel relief after 3-6 treatments, but some cases will take more or less time. Throughout our treatments we will continue to reassess and ensure you are making progress toward your goals.
Are there any side effects?
Yes. Occasionally, there may be mild bruising, fatigue, or emotional release — all normal responses as the body recalibrates. Most people leave feeling relaxed, grounded, or energized. Some even say this is the most relaxed they have every felt.
Can I come in even if I’m not “sick”?
Yes, of course. Many people use acupuncture as part of their ongoing wellness routines, just like going to the gym. Chinese Medicine is seen as a way of preventing future illness, so coming in before you get sick is the perfect time to make an appointment.
Is acupuncture covered by insurance?
Many extended health plans in BC cover Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) treatments. I can provide a receipt for you to submit. Please check with your provider for details.
